Ti-flo™ 950 filler metal will wet titanium, titanium-based alloys and super alloys. It exhibits good wetting characteristics on ceramic surfaces eliminating the need for metalisation and plating processes. Because of its high titanium content it is very strong and has good corrosion resistance. Typical applications include brazing of vacuum tubes, wave-guides and titanium-based rocket and engine components in the aerospace industry. Ti-flo™ 950 should be brazed in a high vacuum environment. Other filler metals suitable for brazing titanium alloys include Pallabraze™ 880Ga, Active-braze™ No.1, Active-Braze™ No.2, silver and standard silver.
Ti-flo™ 830
Melting Range
780 - 830°C
Ti-flo ™ 830 is an aluminium-silver alloy that can be used as a brazing filler metal for titanium and its alloys.
Ti-flo™ 950
Melting Range
902 - 950°C
Ti-flo™ 950 is a titanium-nickel-copper alloy. Due to its titanium content this alloy exhibits high strength and high corrosion resistance.
Pallabraze™ 880Ga
Melting Range
845 - 880°C
This brazing filler metal is a high purity palladium-silver-gallium alloy. It is ductile and relatively corrosion resistant.
Standard Silver
Melting Range
780 - 890°C
This is an alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper and is the equivalent of the jewellery grade sterling silver.
Silver 99.99%
Johnson Matthey offers 99.99% silver in a range of product forms.
